The 2015 Brimbank Writers & Readers Festival has finished for another year after a fabulous 12 days of workshops, author talks, panel discussions, exhibitions, storytelling and more.
The Festival concluded with the presentation of the 2015 Brimbank Writers Awards at Overnewton Castle. The Awards recognise exceptional writing talent in Brimbank, with over $3,500 in prizes presented across short story, poetry and songwriting categories.

William McInnes kicked off the program with humour and honesty, sharing his complex nostalgia for family holidays to a captivated audience.

Cate Kennedy
In spite of the weather, Cate Kennedy walked an eager crowd through Delahey’s streets named after famous poets. Selected readings from Yeats, Burns, Shakespeare and more brought new meaning to the surrounds, with the sun eventually breaking through the clouds for Plath’s Morning Song.

Clementine Ford’s booked out In Conversation event at the Granary Café left us inspired to take on the world.
