Saving Seeds, Growing Communities

Learning to save seeds is a wise move for any gardener.

Join passionate gardener and sustainable food systems advocate Kat Lavers as she explains the value of seed saving, and take home a new plant and seeds.

Learn how you can save a fortune on seed packets and seedlings, and over time you'll also develop stronger plants that are perfectly adapted to your garden's microclimate.  Plus have plenty to share with family, friends and community.  All aspects of seed saving will be covered:

    • basics of plant selection
    • pollination
    • harvesting
    • drying
    • cleaning and storing seeds for common vegetable varieties

Spaces limited, bookings essential.

*Please note that all library visitors aged 18 and over must be fully vaccinated, in line with Victorian Government regulations.
