Bibliotherapy for Wellbeing

Experience the power of the spoken word to soothe the soul, reduce stress and promote relaxation.

Join bibliotherapist, Sonya Tsakalakis, as she introduced the concept of words and literature as a means to enhance our wellbeing and reduce the stresses of daily life.  How Bibliotherapy uses literature to empower and lead us to a journey of self-exploration and renewal.

Sonya is also co-author of Reading the Seasons:  Books Holding Life and Friendship Together, a book that discusses how stories and poems can console, heal and hold us together as friends and as individuals.

Created by volunteers, these tempestries (temperature tapestries) represent Brimbank’s climate at five-year intervals, and also project our climate in 2050 and 2090.
