Children's Book Week - Illustration Workshop with Marc McBride

Take flight into a world of fantasy with award winning children’s illustrator Marc McBride. Marc is the illustrator of many books including Emily Rodda’s bestselling Deltora Quest series, and also The Glimmeshortlisted for this year’s CBCA Book Awards. Learn how to use your imagination and ideas to draw a dragon.

During the workshop Marc will paint a character from one of his books explaining the process of creating artwork. Learn about colour, light, shape, line and texture- the five elements of visual language. Using simple shapes Marc encourages participants to draw with him and to ‘not be afraid of making mistakes’- after-all it is often a mistake in a drawing that becomes the inspiration for something truly original!

Bring along paper and pencils together with your wild mind to this online workshop. Have you got a question for Marc McBride about any of his books? About drawing and mystical creatures? Book your place for the workshop and send us your questions for Marc.
