A whole range of events and activities to keep the little ones going all summer long

Keep the kids engaged and learning all summer long with Brimbank Libraries' Summer Activities program packed full of activities and events for both preschool and primary school aged children.

Art with Aviva

Aviva Reid's artwork and photo advertising Brimbank Libraries' upcoming Summer WorkshopAviva Reed is a visual ecologist, illustrator and collaborator on the Small Friends science-adventure book project.

Make art and explore storytelling, science and ecology with Aviva. Bring pencils, pen and paper and join in this fun activity from home.

Presented online via Zoom, in partnership with Brimbank’s Environment Department. Suitable for children aged 8-12.

Wildlife of Brimbank

Grey headed fruit batMeet the wildlife who live in and around Brimbank in this special live online presentation by Reptile Encounters. Learn about our local species and how we can help to look after them. Special appearances by the Blue-Tongue Lizard, Grey-headed Flying Fox, Growling Grass Frog and more!

Presented in partnership with Brimbank’s Environment Department. Suitable for all ages.

Kids' Summer Book Club

Summer Storytimes in the Park

Storytime in the parkJoin us for songs, stories and fun in the beautiful parks of Brimbank as we celebrate summer and share our love of books in the great outdoors.

Don’t forget to bring a picnic rug to sit on, sunscreen, a hat and a morning snack. In the event of extreme weather, storytimes will be cancelled. Check Brimbank Libraries' social media for updates.
