Important information for Libraries

Important Update:
From Monday 14 September 2020, Brimbank Libraries continues a staged approach to easing the restrictions enforced by the COVID-19 pandemic.

This means we will continue to provide a range of online services to our members, and resume the Click and Collect service, the Home Library Service and the Brimbank residents Library to Your Door Service.

Click and Collect Reservations
If you have received a notification that an item you have requested is available, telephone the Library between 9.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday, to arrange collection at any Brimbank library within seven days of receiving the notification. For residents who are self-isolating or do not wish to visit the library during COVID-19 restrictions the Library to Your Door service is available.

Library to Your Door
The home delivery service is available to all residents of Brimbank who are Brimbank Library members. We will deliver items to your home – while maintaining safe social distancing practices. Simply reserve your items, choose your Pickup location at the branch closest to your home address. When you receive notification your items are available, call that branch to arrange delivery. Not sure what you want, call your closest library and have a chat to our friendly and knowledgeable staff about your interests - we will search our shelves and find something for you.

Items will be delivered to your door at no charge.

If you are not a library member, you can join online. Library membership is free.

Returning items
Returns chutes at all libraries will open Monday 14 September for members living within 5 kilometers of their nearest Brimbank library.
