

Children's Book Week: Beanstack Competition
The Children’s Book Council of Australia Book Week celebrates authors, illustrators, and readers (like you!) throughout Australia.
Join us as we celebrate this year’s theme, Dreaming with Eyes Open. Read books from CBCA’s book lists and log your reading, earn badges, and go into the draw to win prizes!

Little Scientist Club for 3-5 Year Olds at Sunshine Library
For four weeks at Sunshine Library children can explore the world of science with fun, hands-on experiments and science equipment that they can take home. Budding Einsteins will spend an hour each week having fun with science and will finish in week four with a grand science expo.
The four sessions will run on the 05/08/22, 12/08/22, 19/08/22 and 26/08/22 11.30-12.30am
These sessions are for 3-5 year old children and will require them to have a parent present. Please book a ticket for each child and attend with them. Adults will not need tickets.

Use Circuitscribe and the amazing science of electricity to make your own light-up constellations to take home! For children 8+ years old.

Children's Book Week: Butterfly Scavenger Hunt
Visit your nearest Brimbank Library and spot all of the Monarch Butterflies hidden around the library.
Submit your guess for how many butterflies you spot to enter the competition to win a copy of 'Walk of the Whales' and a Lego prize!

Children's Book Week: Australian Word Jumble
Visit your nearest Brimbank Library and unscramble as many Australian Bird names as you can to go into the running to win copies of ‘Dragon Skin’ by Karen Foxlee and ‘Glasshouse of Stars’ By Shirley Marr.

Science Week: Kerbal Space Workshop

Gardening for Health & Vitality
Join us for a series of gardening workshops, with Kaye Roberts-Palmer from Blue Bee Garden Design, to keep the Winter blues away. Learning how to prune fruit & citrus trees, grow herbs for your health, attract beneficial fauna to your garden, look after your soil and much more.
Please note: This event was originally scheduled for Saturday 23rd July. Due to unforeseen circumstances, it is now taking place on Saturday 20th August - same time, same location. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

Children's Book Week Storytime (St Albans)
