Help your child develop a love of reading by introducing them to the wonderful world of books and libraries through storytime. When you actively participate with your child you help them develop language skills in a fun and interactive environment. You will have access to professional staff for advice and helpful tips on reading with your child. It's also a great place to meet other parents.

Playstation and Wii
Sunshine and Deer Park Libraries have both Nintendo Wii's and Playstation 3's available for use and Sydenham Library has a Nintendo Wii available for use. Summer Reading Club
Summer Reading Club runs annually for 5-13 year olds. Children register from 1 December and read as many books as they can over the summer. They log the books they read and collect prizes as they go. There are finale parties at the end of the program where all entries are in the running for the grand prize! Sign up at your local branch over the summer holidays to join the fun.
Delivered in partnership with Victoria University, this program is for children 0-6 years. Kinda Kinder helps develop pre-literacy skills through play based activities. No charge, but contact libraries for program dates and bookings.
